First Mortgage Trust Bluefin Bust Up

CONTEST FEES – ADULT $80.00 per angler.  JUNIOR $30.00 per angler

REGISTRATION – Anglers may enter the tournament at any time but must have their entry fee paid 12 hours prior to going fishing.

FISHING TIMES – Start Fishing: From 0600hrs (6.00am) Thursday 1^st June 2023 continuous until 1500hrs (3pm) Sunday 30^th July 2023.Final weigh in time is: 1500hrs (3pm).  All fish and catch cards must be at the weigh station by final weigh in time 1500hrs (3pm) No exceptions.

WEIGH-IN – All fish must be weighed at the Tauranga Sport Fishing Club.  Please ensure Catch Cards are filled out before fish are presented to the weigh station. Catch cards are available in the Clubrooms. Weigh station hours are daily from 0700-0800hrs (7:00am-8:00am) and 1700-1800hrs (5:00pm-6:00pm) except for Sunday 30^th July where final weigh in time is 1200hrs-1500hrs (12:00pm – 3:00pm) (No exceptions). You must contact the club to organise a weigh master to be at the weigh station during one of the prescribed weigh in times.

SPECIES (MINIMUM WEIGHTS)

Albacore Tuna                                7 kg                     

Wreckfish (Hapuku, Bass, Bluenose) No Minimum

BlueFin Tuna                                15kgs                                                                           

Only TWO Southern BlueFin Tuna may be weighed per angler for the duration, no catch limits for other species.

Due to MPI regulations there is a bag limit of 1 Southern Bluefin Tuna per person, per day.

WEEKLY LUCKY DRAW – A Weekly Angler will be drawn at 6.45PM on each Thursday during the tournament.  The winners will be notified via Facebook and TSFC website.

MAJOR PRIZE GIVING – The major prize giving will be held on Sunday 30^th July 2023 – 1830hrs (6:30pm) Prizes will be awarded to the overall winners as follows, with only one prize package awarded per fish. To receive the CD Tournament Pitch Bait rod and a Penn Authority 10500 Spin Reel the angler must be present at the prizegiving, in the event that they are not present it will be given to the next closest average weight Southern Bluefin Tuna.
