TSFC OPENING HOURS Thurs 4-8pm, Fri 4-8pm, Sat 11-9pm & Sundays for Events Only. Additionally The club will be opened by Little Fish café & Bistro – Tuesday – Saturday 11-8pm Sunday 10am-4pm for the purpose of dining. To ensure we are geared up to provide good service we kindly ask that groups over 10 be booked via the club manager prior to arrival.

Man this weather is the pits! The Hunting & Fishing SNAPPER CLASSIC is now unfortunately cancelled. A big shout out though to the great team from Hunting & Fishing for the amazing support. We have plenty more events planned so check out EVENT CALENDAR HERE.

Our THURSDAY CLUB NIGHTS have been brilliant, its so good to be back and see the Club so busy! Next Thursday the Membership Draw is $700 thanks to Smart Marine Tauranga.

WAIHAU BAY – Following the communication relayed by the Waihau Bay Sport Fishing Club (27 May on FB) we ask that all of our competitors in the Bluefin Bust Up respect the wishes of Te Whanau-a- Apanui. The TSFC wishes to work with the Waihau Bay community and respects the intent for looking after the area, fishery and whanau. We look forward to getting back there in the near future, supporting local business and this community. For vessels fishing in the area please log trip reports on Ch65 Coastguard Channel, other wise try to keep this channel as clear as possible.

WEIGH STATION NEWS – The Buefin Tuna are officially on the chew, and now its level one and even the swords seem to be biting we are here to weigh your fish! Please call Roly 021 702248 or Kane De Raat 021508 833 and we will arrange a weigh master for you. Also remember vhf channel 3 is the Club’s VHF channel and its there to be used to share information and stay in touch with one another and stay safe. TIGHT LINES!

GIANT SQUID IN THE BOP...When the crew of the Margaret Philippa hauled in their fishing nets, they weren’t expecting to see a huge jelly mass amongst their catch of orange roughy. Skipper Roger Rawlison says it wasn’t until it fell out of the net that the crew realised it was a giant squid, around 3m in length and weighing 80kg. Read More…
